Its cold
real cold
like frost bite cold
and so dark
so
so
dark. Hello!?
This is a story, of a woman. So young, so pure and bright. She never saw the end coming. Everything had been so right for her. So bright for her. Now pear into the world she live, and witness the strange, the dark, the cold form a new world for her to dwell
in love.
Hello!? Is anyone there?! The woman cried out. The only sound that replied to her calls were the sound of her own foot steps on the loose gravel path. It was dark, like midnight, with no moon. She could see no stars in the sky, no moon, only clouds of black. The womans pace was slow up the gravel path. The longer she was here in the dark, she became more confident. Her heart stopped racing; he breathing slowed. The path up ahead split, circling a decrepit old stone fountain. Vines flowed along its shape, replacing the water that once flowed through it. She stared at the fountain a she passed it. Her gaze shifted to what was now in front of her, where the paths reconnected. A Large gothic mansion. With spiked like spires shooting from the tips of steeples that were located on the corner roof tops. A central spire mounted above the tall entrance was easily the tallest of the spires that she could see. Each now tarnished what looked like copper that was once plated in gold foil. The siding was a darker shade of purple, with black eves. Most of the siding was falling off, and most of what was still on was held on by over grown vines that crawled up its corners. A covered porch stood in front of her only a few feet away. This sight stopped the woman in her tracks. Something wasnt right.
The atmosphere was still. There was no wind, no sound, nothing. A light hum broke through the silence and the wind picked up. The tallest spire above the entrance began to glow. The heavens above it began to swirl around its tip high in the sky. The spire grew brighter and the woman covered her eyes at the shock of sudden light. Suddenly it burst sending small fragments of copper into the air. In its place stood a man; her lover. Welcome to my darkness. The voice said softly. The woman smiled a crooked smiled and walked up the steps of the porch. Two large brass knockers hung on the doors. She pounded one of them three times against the old rotting door. There was no reply. Why wont you open the door! The woman screamed over the wind. The voice replied ,soft again, as if it were all around her I cant ask you to suffer my pain. It is mine alone to bare. The woman looked up through a broken whole in the roof of the porch. She could see her lover on still on the point. How dare you sell yourself as a martyr! I hate seeing you in pain like this. I cant do anything about it. You always just push me away when you are like this! I cant take it! I feel like Im losing you, and I would suffer all the pain in the world if it meant I was with you! The woman screamed as she glared up at him. She slammed the brass knocker one more time, but when the metal reached the door a black cloud clung itself to her arm. Slowly she was pulled through the door without it opening, as if it didnt exist. She was pulled into a large open lobby. No light was on or coming in from the outside yet she could see her surroundings clearly. To he left and right were doors and side tables and paintings. The doors looked as if they hadnt opened in ages and the side tables and paintings were covered in white sheets. Like the previous owner had moved away, maybe hoping to com back, yet never had. On the other end of the room were 2 sets of stairs, they curved upward and inward towards each other to meet at one point to the second level.
In the center of the lobby stood her love. Black hair, combed back and out of his face. He wore a tight black T-shirt with a pair of black dress pants. In one hand he held an old violin that was broken in half at the neck. Only three strings held the two pieces together, the forth sting was broken and coiled into a circle at the head of the violin. The bow was wedged between his fingers and the neck of the violin. He held his arms open ready to embrace her. The woman ran to him and wrapped her arms around his waist. The hand with the violin cradled the small of he back as the other held her head to his chest gently.
Suddenly a pain shot through the womans arm. The black cloud was crawling up he arm and around her chest now. It was slowly consuming her. I never want to let you go, White, Ill live with this if I have to. The woman whispered, pulling herself tighter to him. Zaenna
you dont have to. She looked up at him confused, tears now flowing down her cheeks from the pain. Youll be awake soon, and Ill be gone. Again she was confused but her mouth was wide open in shock. Dont leave me. He lover looked down at her with caring eyes. Wake up. The gentle words were soon followed my another sudden shock of pain and everything disappeared.
The woman sat up in her bed. Breathing heavily and sweating. Her eyes wide open and alert. She began to frantically check her arm for the dark cloud that had consumed her. Nothing was there. Nothing of the darkness, nothing of the man
who was he
Her phone began to ring and she answered. Bell?! Where are you?! Your late for Mrs. Burkharts class! Hurry! The line went dead. It was Casey
she was already in class. Oh crap! Now Im late!!! She jumped out of bed and ran into the bathroom.
